Deep Learning Quantum Systems Defence & Strategy Enterprise AI National Security

Shlomo Kashani builds production AI and quantum systems — and studies the high-stakes decisions that ride on them. He ships large language models, retrieval, and agentic AI, and works hands-on across the quantum stack: quantum machine learning (QML), quantum algorithm design, and high-performance circuit simulation. He is the author of Qupertino, an Apple-Silicon quantum framework, develops in PennyLane, and implements state-vector and matrix-product-state (MPS) simulators. Most of this ships as open source — recent releases include QuantumNovelty, an agent framework that audits quantum-computing papers, and QuantumLLMInstruct, a corpus of AI-generated quantum-computing problems and solutions. He is also pursuing a professional doctorate in Defence and Strategic Studies at Missouri State University.

He works across the boardroom and the lecture hall, with scientific and international counterparts, and reads a decision from more than one vantage — how the same call lands differently from one capital, institution, or chain of command to the next.

His training spans strategic studies at Missouri State University, an M.Sc in Quantum Physics & Computing at Johns Hopkins University, and an M.Sc in Digital Signal Processing at Queen Mary, University of London.

Shlomo Kashani

Author of two books:

01

AI Research & Engineering

Production LLM systems, RAG architectures, agentic AI, and quantum machine learning. Twenty years shipping systems that work at scale. AIMO-2 Gold Medalist.

02

Quantum Computing & Simulation

Quantum machine learning and quantum algorithm design in PennyLane, plus high-performance state-vector and matrix-product-state (MPS) circuit simulation. Author of Qupertino, an Apple-Silicon quantum framework, and AI-for-quantum research tooling.

03

Strategic & Geopolitical Advisory

Applied analysis at the intersection of emerging technology and geopolitical risk. Strategic foresight, complex institutional environments, AI in high-stakes analytical and policy contexts.

Prior to founding QNeura, Shlomo held senior engineering and AI leadership roles across healthcare AI, financial technology, and national-security-adjacent deployments — building the production instinct that shapes his advisory work today.

Keynote speaker: applied AI & quantum.

Choosing the right AI bet

Board-level judgement on where AI and quantum actually pay off — and where the spend is wasted.

Real versus hype

How to judge whether the technology behind a claim stands up — from large language models to quantum computing.

AI in high-stakes settings

Lessons from taking machine learning into production — including medical-AI systems now in use across hospital systems — where the margin for error is small.

A stack of books: Quantum Chemistry, Turgenev, War and Peace in the Nuclear Age, Man's Search for Meaning, Cooking in Iran
The reading pile — quantum chemistry, strategy, Frankl, Turgenev

This collection reflects a curiosity that refuses to stay in one lane — from literature and history to quantum physics, psychology, and cuisine. Each book is an argument about how the world works; together they are how I think.
